- Family history
- Hormone replacement
- Infertility
- Early menstruation
- Going into menopause late

If you are at risk or are concerned about having uterine cancer, we offer many diagnostic options to help you find out what's going on.
One of the diagnostic procedures we perform involves using an advanced software technology to identify your sentinel left node (the main lymph node) that drains your uterus. This technique helps us identify microscopic metastasis to your lymph nodes if any is present.
During the digital imaging process, we stain your lymph nodes with a specific type of green dye. After the dye is injected, we turn down the lights in the room and the targeted lymph nodes light up green. We trace out those specific lymph nodes so we can stage them and find out if your cancer has metastasized.
Detecting endometrial cancer early improves the chances that we can treat it successfully.
Uterine cancer treatment
Our specialists treat the two main types of uterine cancer:
- Endometrial carcinoma
- Uterine sarcoma
Surgery is usually the treatment of choice for uterine cancer. It includes a hysterectomy with the removal of your fallopian tubes, ovaries and pelvic lymph nodes. Other treatments include:
- Robotic surgery
- Fluorescence imaging
- Chemotherapy
- Radiation
